Origin: East and South East London respectively.

Design background: Murphy studied at Broadstairs and has previously worked at Victor Victoria. Beattie worked with the label Uth.

Career highlight: “Showing on schedule as part of the first official London Fashion Week menswear day.”

Design signatures: “Modern, contemporary, wearable and English.”

How would you describe the b Store customer? “Someone with good taste.”

Three spring/summer 2012 inspirations: "African prints, strong bold colours and lots of volume.”
 
What’s next for your brand? “We are looking into some very exciting collaborations.”
 
Who are your design heroes? “Yves Saint Laurent, Helmut Lang and Rei Kawakubo.”

What’s your favourite cultural hotspot in the capital? “It's very hard to pin down, there is so much going on all over London but I believe it's coming back to the West End... Soho is back!”

In five years’ time we will be… “Still making beautiful clothes."
