Career highlight: “My first show at London Fashion Week when I was 24. I was terrified!”

Design background: Cook completed her BA at Brighton University followed by an MA at Central Saint Martins. She worked for Martine Sitbon in Paris, Donna Karan in New York and Ghost in London before setting up her own label.

Design signatures: “Prints, embellishments and girly clothes with a sense of humour.”

Name three things that are inspiring you for autumn/winter 2010: “1970s fantasy art, nocturnal animals and what my friends and I would like to wear.”

What do you hope the new decade will mean for your brand? “Just to continue to grow slowly as we have been doing.”

How does London influence your designs? “I spend a lot of time at the zoo with my 2 year old son these days; so that might account for all the animal prints we’ve been doing lately!”
