Wednesday 21st September 2011 brought the sixth Menswear Day to London Fashion Week. It captures the essence of the capital's menswear talent including the eight designers under the NEWGEN MEN umbrella, the dynamic NEWGEN MEN & Fashion East installations and the tailoring of the Savile Row presentations. Menswear Day SS12 was a highlight of London Fashion Week, with 9 on schedule catwalk shows and 6 presentations. See the full schedule.

For the first time this season at The Exhibition, there was a new menswear feature area, located in the East Wing of Somerset House. Five of the menswear designers showcased for 6 days in this dedicated space include Berthold, Cassette Playa, Katie Eary, Rose and Rose, and William Richard Green.

NEWGEN MEN began in February 2009, building on TOPMAN and Fashion East’s successful MAN initiative. It has since become instrumental in raising the profile of emerging British designers using the dedicated Menswear Day at London Fashion Week as a showcasing platform.
